Responsibility

A Celebration of Values and Music

Kerava Jazz Festival is more than just a music event. It is a values-driven meeting place that promotes equality, justice, safety, and environmental responsibility through culture. The festival also strengthens Kerava’s role as a cultural city – showcasing local talent and bringing the city’s music scene into national and international visibility.

A Program Built on Values

Performer selections are based on diversity: the stage features musicians of various genders and backgrounds. The polyphony of jazz is given space, with special attention to the visibility of women. Contracts with artists are transparent and fair, and the festival provides professional opportunities for domestic musicians.

An Inclusive and Accessible Event

Kerava Jazz Festival is designed to be accessible to all. Accessibility is ensured through clear signage and functional services throughout the event areas. Multilingual communication allows international visitors to participate naturally. Ticket pricing takes different life situations into account, offering free sub-events – because cultural experiences should be for everyone.

Responsibly and Safely

The festival is built on transparent decision-making. Measures are in place to address harassment, including designated harassment contact persons, and the principles of a safe space are prominently displayed. All staff are trained to foster a respectful and safe festival experience.

An Ecological Cultural Event

Environmental values are integrated throughout the event. Local performers, low-emission transport options, the use of renewable energy, and effective recycling are part of the festival's ecological responsibility. Festival merchandise is selected based on ethical and ecological criteria.

The Voice of the Participants Matters

The festival evolves with its community. We gather feedback from visitors, performers, and volunteers, and use their insights to improve the event. This ensures that the Kerava Jazz Festival remains a relevant and meaningful cultural experience. Kerava Jazz Festival resonates – bringing values, a sense of community, and artistic vitality into the rhythm of our city. Join us in building a celebration of culture that leaves a lasting impression!
